Kenya grew up in Augusta, Georgia to a single mother. Her professional career has taken her and her family from Augusta, Georgia to Charleston, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Chicago, Illinois. Kenya currently lives in Charleston, South Carolina with her husband and their two children.
Kenya has held executive leadership positions in both Customer Service & Retail organizations, building high performing teams producing phenomenal results. She has also helped countless people grow their own careers and launch their own businesses. She matriculated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Management.
Kenya believes that women and men can have thriving careers and healthy families. She has spent the last several years dedicated to mentoring and coaching minorities and women leaders to prepare them to lead at higher levels. She firmly believes that it is her responsibility as one of a few minority women executives to chart the course for others.
Kenya believes that being connected to people who care about your well-being and success is key to achieving success. She attributes her own career success to two women she met early in her career at T-Mobile who saw something in her that she did not see in herself. She also believes that all of life’s challenges are designed to teach us lessons that we are supposed to use to heal ourselves and serve a greater purpose. She believes that human connection is the most powerful connection that any of us can make.
Kenya is a passionate advocate of self-care, and in her spare time she enjoys reading, yoga, meditating, traveling and spending time with friends & family.
Kenya prioritizes spirituality in everything she does. She leads with compassion, instruction, authenticity and commitment to excellence.
